A birthday gift

Today I received a belated birthday gift from the lovely Brenda of Time 2 Xstitch - a beautifully stitched and finished project bag with a Parisian theme. The design is Sew Parisian stitched in one of my favourite shares of blue. Brenda also added a tiny beaded zipper fob with an Eiffel Tower charm. Thank you Brenda - I love it!

This design is still available *here* or click on the CHARTS button on the sidebar - look down the left sidebar and you will find a quick link to this design.

The weather has changed for the better in our little corner of the UK so it's nice to be able to get out in the garden with my Kindle. I have however worked on a new design - a sneak peek here:

I am a little undecided what fabric and floss to stitch the model with or, indeed, a name for it. Any suggestions welcome ...

Sew Easy and Sew Parisian

Martine from Broderies Passion sent me pictures of a beautiful needlecase that she stitched using the Sew Easy free chart on white linen with DMC threads. There are more pictures on her blog so please make a visit and see her other wonderful stitching and finishing! Thank you Martine for sharing.

Also Christine from Les Petites Croix de Symiote sent me a picture of her framed Sew Parisian stitched with Threadworx threads on Belfast linen. Christine made this her own by adding a French song title about Paris by Jacques Dutronc. Translated into English the song title is 'It's five o'clock, Paris awakens'! Isn't this a lovely version of Sew Parisian? Thank you Christine for sharing.

Both Sew Parisian and Sew Easy (free chart) are available *here* or by clicking on the CHARTS button on the sidebar.

If you would like to share any of your stitched iStitch designs here on my blog, please email me with a picture and details of fabric and threads used and I would be more than happy to post them with a link back to your blog. My email address can be found on my profile.

By request, I have added a 'Followers' link both to this blog and my charts blog so, if you want to be a follower, you are more than welcome. At some point I will be having a giveaway for followers only so don't miss out - sign up now!

Over the weekend I stitched an ornament for Christmas and once this is 'finished' I will post a picture. I also finished charting and printing off a new design ready for stitching - it's pretty and it's pink!

Sew Parisian

Kirby has now had her course work assessed and she gained 69% - the average mark is 40% so she is more than happy with her grading! As promised, she has said I can release the chart for Sew Parisian for sale.

The larger model is stitched on 36ct walnut dyed linen with Cosmo 2311 (Japanese thread) and DMC 3046 with a double nun stitched hem of DMC 12 perle cotton in 642. The smaller model is stitched on 55ct white linen with Soie Surfine 2499 (red), 2652 (blue), 679 (gold) and 95 (brown) with a single nun stitched hem of DMC blanc. DMC equivalents of all threads are noted on the chart.

This chart is now available *here* or by clicking on the CHARTS button on the sidebar. All charts are also available on a cd-rom, as few or as many as you want!

As I am having to wait for a new cut of 55ct Gander linen to come from Alsace, I have been stitching up my next design Sew Patchwork II although I can't wait to make a start on Jane Rees!
