Biscornu sighting in Australia!

I heard from Perri in Australia today that my HOE biscornu has arrived with her. I am so glad that it arrived safe and sound and that she likes it. On her blog she stated that she likes 'pretty' and 'pretty' is what I tried to do for her. Up until a few days ago I had no idea who the designer was as I stitched it from a picture that I came across while surfing the www. I now know it's by Giulia Punti Antichi GPA and called Summer Face and is from one of her seasonal biscornus which, together with Spring Face, can be obtained from Shakespeare's Peddler. I stitched it on 32ct antique white linen with DMC threads and white perle number 12 for the 4-sided stitching. The beads are white Delica's. I did make some amendments of my own, changing some flowers from Rhodes stitches to Queen stitches and adding the 4-sided stitch border and, of course, both Perri's initials, my initials and the date. Enjoy it Perri!

Thank you for all your kind comments re my thumb. It is still extremely sore but the swelling has started to go down so I can at least bend it. I just hope I don't lose the nail this time as it took ages for it to look normal again after it's last mishap with the car door and it's not as though my local nail salon knocks off 1/10th of the price of a French manicure!  This afternoon I shall attempt a little stitching and I really want to get my HOE pinkeep put together so I am on time with mailing it to my partner.

Yesterday I watched 5 or 6 episodes of Dexter than I had recorded on the Sky+ box. I think this must be Series 1 but, as I see that Series 3 is being shown in the US, I am not actually sure which series I am watching but I like it, in a rather gruesome way! I am also an avid Lost fan but do admit to being a bit 'lost' as to what's happening. They promised us answers but those answers just initiated new questions - maybe they are just making it up as they go along?

Thanks for visiting
Take care

I don't watch Lost, I can't track, there's too much hopping around, LOL. My DH loves it. He said the end is already decided, the writer worked backwards from the finale. Apparently he read an article on it.

Love the biscornu. Glad your finger is doing better too.

The biscornu is beautiful. Funny that you mention Shakespeare's Peddler. That is our LNS. Theresa is a great person. I love shopping at her store. One question. How did you do the edge of the biscornu?

    Beautiful biscornu!

We're big "Lost" fans here, too...and like you, we're confused. Each time they provide an answer, they also happen to give up a bunch more questions...argh! I just hope they get all these loose ends all bundled up by the series' end.

    lovely biscornu :)

oh Dexter .. I just started watching it couple of months ago. I understand that it started on Showtime (or HBO) a couple of years ago. Just recently hit mainstream TV here in the US. Gory but very intriquing!

We are also huge Lost fans. Not sure what season you are watching in the UK .. but this season here is answering a lot more questions than in the past.

    Your biscornu is beautiful!

We watched the first 2 seasons of Dexter during Christmas break - marathons of it, and absolutely love it! We haven't found Season 3 showing here yet. And Lost has us hooked also.
