A little while ago I won the blogoversary giveaway from Chris
and this morning I received this wonderful package! Inside was a cut of 36ct flax linen, 5 skeins of silk floss, needles and a Quaker chart. What a great package - thank you so much Chris, I am sure I will be able to put these to good use.
The needlebook finishing kit I ordered from France also arrived today. It's a lot bigger than I had imagined so I doubt very much that my stitched piece, which is on 40ct linen, will fit but I am sure that neither the kit nor the piece will go to waste as I will find something to do with both!
I am still working on the 3 pieces that I have been giving sneak previews of but ... last night I should have put the beads onto the last piece but, as I don't like beading with my feet up in front of the tv, I decided to skip ahead and do the hem-stitching. I then realised that I had left my friend's name off the bottom and now there is no room for it! Now I shall have to re-stitch this piece completely! Luckily they are quite quick to stitch but I need to get all 3 pieces finished really soon as they need to be mailed to the US and I don't want to miss the Christmas mailing deadline! So you can guess what I will be working on today.
