Blog giveaway received!

A little while ago I won the blogoversary giveaway from Chris and this morning I received this wonderful package! Inside was a cut of 36ct flax linen, 5 skeins of silk floss, needles and a Quaker chart. What a great package - thank you so much Chris, I am sure I will be able to put these to good use.

The needlebook finishing kit I ordered from France also arrived today. It's a lot bigger than I had imagined so I doubt very much that my stitched piece, which is on 40ct linen, will fit but I am sure that neither the kit nor the piece will go to waste as I will find something to do with both!

I am still working on the 3 pieces that I have been giving sneak previews of but ... last night I should have put the beads onto the last piece but, as I don't like beading with my feet up in front of the tv, I decided to skip ahead and do the hem-stitching. I then realised that I had left my friend's name off the bottom and now there is no room for it! Now I shall have to re-stitch this piece completely! Luckily they are quite quick to stitch but I need to get all 3 pieces finished really soon as they need to be mailed to the US and I don't want to miss the Christmas mailing deadline! So you can guess what I will be working on today.

Thank you for all the sign-ups for the 2009 Christmas Challenge. It looks as though we are going to have some fun with this. There are still places available so, if you are interested, there are details of how to join here.

Thanks for visiting
Take care

Lovely giveaway, just to say I can't actually read the new blog, it's all black. and then the writing is across the snowman, so unable to read it.

    What a great giveaway package!

Oh no! I hope you can get the new piece stitched up quick. Just don't burn your fingers on that smokin' hot needle!

Note: You can read hard to see text better if you click and drag your mouse over to highlight it.

What a great package to receive. Hmm, those Quaker ornaments will be perfect to start for the 2009 Christmas Challenge. Or do you already have a list of ornaments to make?

    Carol,
You are a funny girl! 60th anniversary, huh! Unfortunately (or fortunately), I probably won't live to see that. LOL!
