L'aiguille en fête 2012

Kirby, Caroline and I have returned from our brilliant trip to the AEF in Paris. We had a good trip on the Eurostar and met up with Valie as planned. I didn't take too many picture as I was much too busy shopping but I did take a few to share.

Above are my wonderful scissors made by the talented Monsieur Roulot. Aren't they just gorgeous? I also purchased more of his wonderful wares - see below.

And these are some of the offering on M Roulot's stall and picture of him and his lovely wife and daughter/daughter-in-law(?)

This was the Sajou stall where I managed to spend quite a few Euros ;-)

I could not resist buying 2 more pairs of Nogent scissors. The Eiffel Tower scissors are half gold and half silver - how fun are these? I actually purchased another two pairs of scissors but one is a gift and the other are some I picked up for Angela (who sent me Euros to shop for her) and are the same as the gold ones above but in silver.

I will leave you with further pictures of my scissors. All the above pictures are clickable for closeup views.

I did buy other goodies but I will save these for another day.

Thanks for visiting
Take care

Those scissors are beautiful - such fine detail. And I love the two different metals as well. The box of buttons and fabric - oh my. Sounds like a wonderful shopping experience with good friends.

    Carol,
What lovely pictures of your scissors and of the Sajou stall! The scissors are really stunning especially your elegant and very special pair. I can't wait to see my silver Sunflower ones. Thank you so much for doing a bit of shopping for me. I was disappointed not to join you and Valie again this year. We had such fun together at last year's show. The Sajou stall looks wonderful!

I have been waiting for your post about your shopping trip. Your scissors are gorgeous. The lace ones in the wooden box.....priceless. If I am not mistaken those wooden boxes are hand made special for your scissors. I love all your photos. Looks like you had a great trip.

OH MY STARS!!!!!! I'm sooo jealous that you were able to go. Really....I'm thrilled that you could. Jealous because I was supposed to go LAST YEAR but we were supposed to still be overseas last. Anyway....I digress.

Your new scissors are absolutely STUNNING, GORGEOUS, EXQUISITE, OUTSTANDING......shall I keep going on and on???

Now....we're going to have to get started stitching and beading new scissor fobs!!! We can't have "naked scissors" now can we???
