Gifts and a bandage!

This week I received two wonderful gifts from two special people. Firstly from Patti came BBD's Thank You Sarah Tobias which has been on my wish list for ages. Thank you Patti - it's much appreciated.

Secondly, a package from Valie in France with some of the gorgeous Gander linen, some red silk threads and an Easter decoration. Valie has it's 'twin' hanging in her kitchen. I have hung my 'other half' in my kitchen too. Thank you so much for thinking of me!

Stitching bloggers are such wonderful kind and thoughtful people. Thanks to all who have left such great comments and get well wishes and also sent e-cards and e-mails!

Lastly, my 'boxing glove' bandage which hopefully will be removed later today for a more lightweight and less bulky one.

Obviously no stitching pictures - maybe next time - well I can dream! I am reading as many blogs as I can but no comments yet - you would not believe how long it's taken me to do this post! Until next time ...

Thanks for visiting
Take care

Oh, dear! That doesn't look like much fun, Carol. Obviously, you won't be stitching for awhile, but to speed along your recuperation, perhaps you could peruse that lovely new Sarah Tobias book and leaf through some of your existing stash with your other hand.

Continued good thoughts for your healing . . .

What great gifts you've received. Hopefully, even though you can only look at them for a while, they've brought you some recuperative powers for your hand. Hope you're back and stitching really soon.

Oh Carol you are so welcome and yes I do know how long this has taken you to write. I broke my right wrist about 6 years ago and remember it so well. The indignities it led to were no man's business and I couldn't stitch and I couldn't type. Useless is what I was. I got so fed up I made them take the cast off early and then I was in more pain for a further six months then if I would have left the darn thing on another week or two. Hope you heal real fast. Lots and Lots of Love Patti xxx

Carol, your poor hand! But remember dreams are free and there really is nothing more relaxing than looking at all your embroidery books and charts and planning what you will do. I frequently do this and revise the plans continually. Ha ha! But truly, all the very best.

I hope your stitching hand is back to normal very soon - I don't know what I would do if I couldn't stitch.

    Have a wonderful weekend, and get lots of rest! {{{hugs}}}

Isn't it perfect to receive gifts when you aren't feeling all that great? Especially such nice ones. Glad you're feeling up to a post, and hope you feel even better soon.

When I look at the thick bandages around your hand I can imagine how long it took to type the post. But it's great to read you and to know that you are on the mend and already thinking about stitching. That's a good sign, lol.
Enjoy the wonderful goodies you've received.

    Hi Carol,
So glad to hear you've been promoted to the next level bandage :>) Hopefully it's a bit more comfortable. Just enjoy the rest. You don't get many chances to avoid housework and cooking and to lie around for days on end reading and relaxing :>)
    Thinking of you
    Warm hugs Angela
