From Amy

A short while ago I won Amy's blogoversary giveaway and this morning I received the above. Amy has really spoiled me with two Indigo Rose biscornu kits; Pretty in Pink and The Bee Charmer, an Ink Circles pattern and a tube of Peach scented Stitchers Lotion. A wonderful giveaway Amy, thank you so much!

And for those of you who could not see the 'face in the clouds' yesterday - here is a close-up. Can you see it now?

My dental appointment went as I thought it would - 'great teeth Carol - see you in 6 months'. I am thinking of what stash I could have bought with £20! He also told me that he was leaving early next week to go to Thailand, not as I imagined on a luxury holiday, but to give dental treatment in a refugee camp. He's not only a very nice man but a very compassionate one too!

I saw a wonderful Atalie finish on this blog (here). It takes a little while to load and is in Japanese but there are some beautiful pieces of needlework to see. And now I must find this Atalie pattern - why do I always see patterns that I really must have and then when I have them I don't get round to stitching them! So own up, who else is guilty of this?

I have no idea where my day went to yesterday so I have no stitching to show but, once I have finished my chores today, I am definitely picking up the Dutch Band Sampler. So the quicker I get off the computer, the quicker my chores will be finished and the quicker I can stitch!

Thanks for visiting
Take care

I will own up to being a "stash-aholic"...just posted similar thing to my blog. I treated myself to some patterns by a designer whose work I love, but not being one who does canvas work - I have some of her patterns in my "stash" because I feel the "need" to have them, but don't know when I will really work on them.
Congratulations on winning the beautiful patterns!
    Enjoy!

I also own up to HAVING to have something I´ve seen on a blog, and then letting it sit in my stash pile - untouched (but with good intentions to one day stitch it).
And thank you for that bigger picture of the cloud, I couldn´t see the face in the previous one - but it is so clear here :)

What a great little collection of goodies! I just got that Ink Circles chart myself. Glad your trip to the dentist went well. It does sound like he's a very compassionate man. And I finally see that face!!!!

You may find the Atalie charts at Violarium. Stunning projects on the Japanese blog! I bought the same book on perforated paper at the Paris fair L'Aiguille en Fete in February - haven't tackled a project yet though :-) Amazing how a stitcher in Japan has such a love for European and American designs.

    Definitely a cat !!

I'm guilty as charged over getting things then not making/having time to stitch them, I think it is all part of the hobby disease LOL.

I (only with stitching) find myself sometimes swayed into liking things I might have thought were not my taste once I see it developing on somebody's blog, it is a disease I tell you LOL, it runs in families too, look at me , Su and our Mum ;-) !

    Carol hi there :>)
You've definitely started something here :>)
I bet you feel like a priest in the confessional with everyone confessing their innermost secrets about stash cravings..haha! Is there a stitcher in existence who doesn't have them. I can definitely see why you've fallen for this one!
Congratulations on your win, you've got some lovely goodies there and thanks for the cloud enlargement. That REALLY makes a difference...haha!
    Hugs Angela
