Alphabets Blue update

I have got a little further with Alphabets Blue, my BAM (Brode Avec Moi) with Valie. I have discovered that it's not 50ct linen but 55ct - no wonder it's such a tiny project! It's hard going, not only that it's such a high count fabric, but the pattern is not even so it's difficult to get any sort of rhythm going but saying that I am really enjoying it and will use this fabric again albeit with a finer silk like Soie Surfine. I am feeling a little guilty as I know that Valie has already finished her BAM; I am trying my best to 'catch up'!

Patti over at Tapestry of Dreams has a BIG SURPRISE giveaway and you have until July 14 to enter. Patti is a very sweet and generous lady so I am sure this giveaway will be very exciting.

After a couple of days of rainfall, the sun has decided to show it's face today so I am going to make the most of it so it's out into the garden I go. I have some 'finishing' to do so I might take that outside with me.

At the end of next week I have a little trip planned and I am very excited about this ... some of you already know where I am going particularly one special friend ;-) I can't wait to meet you in real life!

I LOVE the blue and think you are amazing for stithcing it on 55ct! Unless I got a better magnifier I certainly wouldn't try it.

I can not even imagine stitching on 55 count fabric - 40 is tops for me. But your piece looks wonderful - so delicate and I really love the color!

I have never heard of 55 count!!! You must have really, really good vision. I absolutely LOVE your scissors you are displaying in your photo. Where can I find me a pair? I would love to hear from you if you can help me out. Kindly, Jolene
