Yes another DBS update!

Here's yet another update on the Dutch Band Sampler which seems to be the only thing I have to work on at present - well that's if you ignore those UFOs loitering in the back of the cupboard! In January 2008, I posted about the Loara Standish sampler (here) which sampler I started way back in ... 1999! This is such a beautiful sampler and it's almost 2/3rds finished so I really should get back to it. There is also Beatrix Potter. I am trying to ignore her as I've gone right off her (sorry Beatrix) maybe I should work a motif or two to keep her happy.

Tonight is our Stitch-n-Bitch meeting which I am looking forward to. Caroline has taken herself off to Cornwall this week so there will only be the five of us but I am sure we will have plenty to stitch and bitch about!

It's dull and gloomy here today but at least the high winds have dropped and we didn't get the heavy rainful that was forecast. I can't really complain but exactly when is the long hot summer going to start?

Not much else happening here so ...

thanks for visiting
Take care

Cheer up ! It cannot be that bad... Or maybe you have such an excessive number of charts that you don't know where to start ! Did you finish the small BoAF "Love" pattern ? You should stitch something small and quick, perform one of your wonderful finishes (I envy you) and cheerfulness will be restored to you ! The beaded scissor fob is very very nice. Enjoy your group tonight, I don't think I can make it - but you never know ! ;-)

Your DBS sampler is lovely and the Loara Standish sampler is beautiful too. I hope you had a good meeting, I have a similar meeting tonight (EGA). I look forward to updates on the two samplers.

Your Dutch Sampler is so cute! I'm loving to see it's progress. And I think that, after the Stitch-n-Bitch meeting, you will tell us everything about it, won't you? It may seem a little nosy, but I really want to know things about it, once there isn't any kind of meeting like that in my city.

UFOs? I think that all of us have lots of them. I have so many that I just can't count them. hahaha!

About summer... Irck! European people loves summer because it's warm. Donw here, at South America, at least at Brazil, there are lots of people that can't stand it. Summer, here, is too hot-hot-hot-hot, and, when it finally comes (in December), I don't wish to do anything, but stay under the shower. I become a boring woman when it's summer, because all I say is "Oh, today it's sooooooooooooo hot!" Here, I prefer Winter or, at least, Fall.

Your sampler is looking very pretty Carol.

I'm a bit that way with Bea too. I'm intenet on stitching her once a week this month like I did at the start but I didn't do very well last Monday as the Heroes season finale was on. Can't stitch and watch that!

Carol both those samplers are simply to die for. I think my favorite is the DBS though. It is just to die for. Don't worry about how much stuff you have - we all have loads of stuff and my dh is forever moaning that it's all over the house, which it is. I need an extension for my stuff that's what I need. But he says not until he wins the Lotto as he is definitely not taking out another mortgage ever. So he will just have to put up with it. Did you enjoy your meet-up last night? Lots and Lots of Love Patti xxx
