Un coeur de lavande française

Today I received a sweet smelling package from Valie. Inside this package I found a beautiful lavender filled heart attached to which is a charming ornate key dating back to IXX century. Valie had read on my blog (here) that I have a penchant for pretty keys and combined this with my love of lavender. Such a lovely thought from such a dear friend - thank you Valie.

Valie and I are also doing a BAM - Brode Avec Moi (Stitch With Me) which is Valie's own enchanting interpretation of an SAL. Mine is stitched in red on 40ct antique white Edinburgh linen whilst Valie has chosen blue on 40ct flax Edinburgh linen. The pattern? You will have to wait and see!
