I received some wonderful gifts both for my birthday and for Christmas and these are a few. First up was this beautiful jar from my lovely grand-daughter Kirby for my birthday. She stitched a lovely band with scissors, a pin-cushion and a sewing machine and fastened it with pretty buttons at the back and then tied on a heart charm with red and white gingham ribbon. Hanging from the handle is a red felt heart adorned with blue buttons on one side and a stitched 'Nan' on the other. She then filled the jar with buttons, fabrics and ribbons. Isn't this the most gorgeous gift a 'Nan' can receive from a grand-daughter? I love it - thank you Kirby.

And this was my Christmas ornament I also received from Kirby. I have always stitched her and my other grand-children ornaments so it was lovely to received one stitched by her! I have no idea of what materials or which pattern she used. The linen is blue and the stitching in white and silver and mounted on a sparkling white felt. She probably made up the pattern herself. Thank you sweetie.

This ornament was a gift from Brenda of Time 2 Xstitch. Again I do not know what materials or pattern was used although it rather looks like a Prairie Scholer Santa? It is beautifully stitched and finished. Thank you Brenda - I love it and it will take pride of place on my tree for future Christmases.

Just before Christmas I broke my beautiful crystal orts jar which sat on a small side table by my stitching chair. I was very upset as it was so lovely. I searched around online looking for a replacement and found the above glass preserve jar with a silver lid on eBay. It's not so pretty as my original one but I like it and it will do until I can find one I like better. The red thread inside is from my stitching of the SAL JHA 1905 and the Marquoir de Jeanne.

Thanks for visiting
Take care
