An update and a stitching journal

First up is an update of Beatrix Potter SAL. For some reason I do not like the large flower motif; I think it's because I prefer things small and dainty! I am undecided whether I will work downwards or across now - watch this space!

As part of my Christmas gift, my friend Caroline gave me a lovely stitching journal and I have been diligent in logging in my projects for 2009. I wish I had done this when I first started stitching as it would have been wonderful to be able to look back on past projects.

The silk ribbon I ordered to finish my exchange arrived this morning along with another larger package from the same place, addressed to me but containing someone else's much larger order! I have emailed the company to ask if I should return it to them or send it on to their customer. I am so tempted to peek into the tiny packages enclosed therein but have resisted the temptation - so far!

Thanks for visiting
Take care

Your BP is looking great and I love the idea of a stitching journal - might have to try that.

    Wonderful progress on Bea!
Love the idea of your stitching journal! Good for you for starting one! Just think, when some of your pieces are hanging in the Smithsonian and your journal is with them...wow! The value is going to be incredible, not to mention the history:)

Your BP is looking totally magnificent. You are such a good girl for not opening the packet because I would have been sooooo tempted it just isn't true. I never thought of having a stitching journal - what a great idea.

Your BP looks great!I love the journal. I wonder if your friend bought it or made it. I haven't seen stitching journals for sale anywhere but it is a very nice way of keeping track of projects.

Miss Bea looks so wonderful! And your journal is a terrific idea. I'm with you ... too bad we didn't have those when we started stitching.

    Carol,
Your update on BP is just wonderful and so inspiring. The big motif probably only looks big because there is nothing else around to balance it. it will look just perfect when you stitch a bit more :>)

Oh oh I just love your journal. I love journals anyway but your stitching one is just lovely. It will be looked at over and over and will give you so much enjoyment.
    Hugs Angela

The stitching journal is a great idea and a wonderful gift. I have a habit of making lists of projects, but not gathering them all together in one place. :D I figure that I can look back at my blog for my projects since 2005, if nothing else!

    Love your BP!
