I have scissors!

I have acquired four new pairs of scissors in recent times. Three pairs were gifts; the other a pair I could not resist! Firstly some classic Lion's Tails, then some Dinky Dyes Titamium coated, a pair of Gingher 'Sarah' and lastly a tiny pair of Elizabeth 1 by Kelmscott Designs. Can you guess which pair I succumbed to and purchased myself?

My Christmas cactus hasn't fared too well this year as I've only had a total number of six flowers. I am open to suggestions of what I should or should not be doing!

I have designed and stitched a new iStitch design which now needs to be hem-stitched before I can release it for sale so no new stitching pictures to share as yet.

The past couple of days have been lovely - cold but sunny. I can cope with the cold if the sun makes an appearance!

Thanks for visiting
Take care

Lovely scissors! I have a small collection of only two pairs - but someday I hope to add to that!

Congrats on a new pattern - can't wait to see what it is!

As for your cactus - I have a few and some years I just don't get as many blooms and other years it may bloom two or three times for me. My mother has mentioned that the temps in the fall can affect how many blooms you get as they need some cooler, not cold, air to "set the buds". Yours is a pretty color!

I am in love with the scissors that are multicolored!!! The top scissors are my first and only scissors that I purchased. But looking at your collection I think I need another pair.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE scissors! I'm guessing it was the Eliza Scissors that you caved for--because they are tiny and perfect (you seem to like miniature stitching) and they are the ones I'd cave for, too!

Is it something in the air? This scissor thing has gotten me too! My first pair was the gold tiny Elizabeth ones.

Glad you are enjoying better weather now!

    Carol,
I thought I must be the only person in the whole stitching world with only a few pairs of scissors - 4 in total but, I can see from other comments that, in fact, only having a few pairs is not as unusual as I thought One pair is a pair of Ginghers which I bought a few years ago, I wonder if that pair was YOUR weakness :>) Your scissors are gorgeous and very tempting.

I can't wait to see your new design. You are bubbling over with inspiration, i see.

We always used to have very few flowers on our cactus until a friend whose huge collection of Christmas and Easter cacti were positively weighed down with flowers told us her secret. She stands all her plants out in the garden all through the summer only bringing them in when it really begins to get chilly. We started doing the same and now our cacti are covered in flowers. I think, when they have had a prolonged period of cool weather, suddenly bringing them into the warm triggers off the flower production.

    They are all so lovely.
I'm going to guess at the Elizabeth scissors because I could not resist them either and have them on order.
