iStitch Designs

In the past few weeks I have been sent pictures of finished iStitch designs. First up ....

... is Sew Spooky as stitched and finished by Michele of X Marks My Spot. Stitched on 28ct taupe linen with CC, WDW and DMC threads, Michele finished this as a wonderful pillow with an amazing backing fabric that compliments this design perfectly. There is a picture on Michele's blog so pop over and have a look.

Next up is Sew Nautical stitched and finished by Suzanne of Berkshire Cottage. Suzanne used a silk thread on a fabulous shade of blue linen and finished it as a 'heavy-weight'. Pretty finish - I love the tassels trim!

Lastly, but by no means the least, Lucy of Made By Me has taken sections of Sew Noel to produce some very pretty ornaments and there are more pictures on her blog showing the co-ordinating backing fabric.

A big thank you for Michele, Suzanne and Lucy for allowing me to show their stitching on here. If you have any finished iStitch designs you would like to showcase on here, I would love to hear from you. My email address is on my profile.

Sew Spooky, Sew Nautical and Sew Noel are still available *here* or by clicking on the CHARTS button on the sidebar. There is also a new 2010 Christmas freebie available with any purchase.

Take care

Eva's Sew Noel

Eva has kindly allowed me to show her version of Sew Noel which she finished as a flatfold. It is stitched 1*1 on 32ct white evenweave linen with Mouline NCT, numbers 3392, 6872. It measures a very tiny 8 x 6.5cm! Very beautiful Eva and thank you for allowing me to show it here.

Sew Noel is still available *here*

Sew In Love will be released before the end of the week in time for stitching for your own special Valentine.

My blogoversary draw for Sew Peaceful is still open *here* and the 3 winners will be drawn on December 31.

No stitching for me these past couple of days as I spent Christmas Day at my daughter's house and Boxing Day at my son's house but today I shall stitch ... once I have worked my way through a pile of ironing! I have stitching gifts to show but need to take pictures first.

Sue's Sew Noel finish

Sue of Berkshire Cottage blog *here* emailed me this picture of her finish of 'Sew Noel'. It is stitched on a pure white linen with Splendor silk thread S820. Not only is it beautifully stitched, her finish is amazing - just check out those gorgeous tassels! Thank you for allowing me to post this on my blog Sue.

Sew Noel is still available on my Charts blog *here* or click the CHARTS button on the side bar.

If anyone else has an iStitch finish they would like to share, please email me a picture and details of fabric and threads used together with a link to your blog if you have one. My email address can be found on my profile.

I am still toiling away on Beatrix - not only is the large top right-hand motif stitched but also the two smaller ones underneath that one. I have even made a start on another one skilfully avoiding the extra large one with the flower. I know it has to be stitched eventually and that I will regret leaving it until last but ...

Sew Noel flatfold

I received an email from Michelle of Heart in Stitches with pictures of her finish of Sew Noel as a delightful flatfold. Michelle told me that she and her mom both wanted to stitch this pattern so:

Michelle stitched with a green DMC thread and added a star charm instead of stitching the holly.

And her mom chose to stitch with red DMC and added a snowflake charm. Both pieces are stitched on white 22ct Oslo Hardanger fabric. Isn't this a wonderful finish? Thank you Michelle for allowing me to show these pictures.

Sew Noel is still available *here* or by clicking on the CHARTS link on the sidebar.

The children's ornaments are coming along great - four down and two more to go and hopefully I will get these done fairly soon so I can stitch up the models for Sew Pink and Sew in Love. I know that some of you are waiting patiently for these two charts to be released.

Natalia's Sew Blue

I heard from Natalia in Australia that she has now finished Sew Blue. She stitched it 1*2 on 40ct creme linen using Dinky Dyes Pacific Ocean 93, Ningloo 54 and Choco Latte 31 and finished it as a pretty pinkeep. Both your interpretations of Sew Blue and Sew Red are wonderful Natalia and thank you for allowing me to post your pictures on my blog. These patterns are still free but now only available as part of Sew Noel package *here* or click the CHARTS link on the sidebar.

The AVAS Blanc Optique silk thread I am awaiting on for Sew Winter has still not arrived and I have now ordered an HDF white silk thread as a backup in case the AVAS has gone missing. As soon as either threads arrives I will stitch Sew Winter as quickly as possible. In the meantime I will stitch up the model for Sew in Love for an early release.

No stitching at all this weekend as Georgia came for a sleepover last night and we spent yesterday afternoon playing with my punches, old Christmas/birthday cards and a blank sheet of paper and some glue to produce collages. We also tried some origami where we made two types of swan. I had forgotten how much I like origami so I think I will look to buying some proper origami paper as the photocopy paper I was using was a bit thick to make really neat folds.

WIP - Sew Noel

My daughter Nicola decided that, as she liked Sew Noel so much, she would pick up a needle and thread after not stitching for many years. She picked a cream 28ct evenweave linen with Caron Waterlilies 'Holiday' silk thread for most of the sampler but stitched the holly in a silver metallic thread. My picture does not do this justice and I will post another picture (hopefully a much better one) when she is done.

Not much stitching for me these past few days although there are a couple of part-stitched ornaments waiting to be finished and I have been working on the chart for Sew Spring. I went to the new Hobby Craft at Westwood Cross (Thanet) but I wasn't overly impressed and only brought some card and a couple of threads.

This weekend brings a visitor from across the English channel for a short visit. I am sure we will cram in as much as we can during the time we have - I can't wait to see you my friend!

Don't forget to visit my 'Charts blog' - (there's a direct link button on my sidebar) - Sew Red, Sew Blue and Sew Autumn charts are still freebies but there is a small charge for Sew Noel.

Sew Noel release!

I decided to release Sew Noel a week earlier than originally planned! I have set up a new blog to keep all my charts together *here* and I have also added a button to the sidebar. I am finding all this a little daunting but exciting too so please bear with me! If you would like to have this chart please follow the link.

Sew Noel is stitched 1*2 on 55ct white linen with AVAS Soie Surfine 2499 (red) and 458 (green). I have added a 25c coin to give you some perspective of the size of this stitched model. I must admit this is my favourite chart so far but there are more to come. Sew Winter will be released early in December followed by Sew in Love (a Valentine special) in early January.

Sew Red, Sew Blue and Sew Autumn are also on the new blog.

Take care
