Patience is a Virtue!

My dear friend Valie has already discovered that I lack patience and this is the theme of the lovely pinkeep I received from her in today's mail! It is perfectly stitched and finished in such pretty colours with a co-ordinating fabric back. I have decided that it shall live in front of my computer to remind me that 'Patience is a Virtue'! Thank you so much Valie.

And can you see the tiny stand? I had admired how Andrea displayed her pinkeeps and asked her where she got her tiny 'easels' and she told me they are plate stands. I promptly paid a little visit to ebay and brought 10 of these little beauties for £3.99 (here). They are perfect for displaying pinkeeps and other small pieces of needlework.

I have removed the bandage from my hand and, after bathing the wound with warm salt water, I now have a Mepore dressing on. It's healing very well although it's still a bit bruised and slightly swollen - just look at those fat fingers! The stitches will be removed on April 7. I am exercising both my fingers and wrist but not too much (such patience Valie) - I don't want to pop those stitches!

Yesterday was a beautiful warm sunny day and I was able to sit outside in the garden with my book - sheer heaven!

Thanks for visiting
Take care

I love those little plate stands for pinkeeps - they come in lots of sizes, so plenty of variety.

What a great gift. Now I have to look for yet another little chart. Shucks woman you are such an enabler even when you don't try. Also thanks for the information on the plant stands - I have ordered 10 of them. I love the fact that your bandage is so small now and hope your hand is feeling heaps better. Lots and Lots of Love Patti xxx

I'm so happy to see the progression of bandages to the point you are at now. I don't think your fingers look fat at all! Keep the healing going...

Lovely pin keep, such a pretty design. Thanks for the link, it'll come in very useful. Moving from a bandage to a plaster will help with mobility/needle holding. :0)

At least the weather is good while you are healing!

The incredible shrinking bandage!! Glad to see you progressing so quickly through the healing stages Carol :>)

What a lovely little pinkeep from Valie. I love meaningful gifts and could do with a few 'stitched qualities' myself - there isn't one that says 'organization' is there..haha! It will look so pretty by the computer and remind you of both patience and Valie everytime you look at it :>)

The little plates stands are so useful. I brought a load over with me from Cyprus and use them for my pinkeeps. They are so useful.
    Warm hugs Angela

Carol did anyone tell you what a little star you are! I have just been and bought some plate stands in clear. How useful. Now I'll be able to finally display them properly instead of them on top of each other! My husbands going to love me. xx
